National Dance Institute's "Earth's Song"
National Dance Institute’s 2024 Event of the Year, “Earth’s Song,” will bring together over 150 talented children from New York City schools in vibrant performances of dance and live music from June 15th through June 18th at NYU Skirball.  Sparked by the urgency of climate change, “Earth’s Song” will focus on the living, breathing environment. We will explore the preciousness of water and the extraordinary beauty and intelligence of forests alongside the ravages of pollution, industrial waste, and wildfires on Earth’s land and waterways. From the tiniest hummingbird, bee, and butterfly to the brightest blue sky, we will celebrate the many gifts of the Earth, aiming to foster a deeper connection with the natural world and a future based on compassion, community, and creative solutions. Directed by Mary Kennedy, “Earth’s Song” will feature a new work by NDI Helen Stambler Neuberger Artist-in-Residence Tiffany Rea-Fisher, along with original works created by NDI’s brilliant team of choreographers, musicians, and designers.
